Hello there.

I am looking for a graphics designer & music composer to team up with me in making a homebrew game for the PSP.

The game is a relativity small project and should be completed within a few weeks, at a guess I would say a maximum of 2 weeks.

I am looking for a graphics designer capable of creating original sprites/artwork. I want this game to be fancy but don't want to resort to using deviant art or google images and using copyrighted graphics work in order to achieve it.

Same goes for the music. I would like a music composer capable of creating dance/techno music and also sound effects for the menu's and in the game too.

So in other words, I want this to be a full homebrew game. Everything created by us, so there is no chance of infringing copyrights or people moaning at the use of ripped images/music.

The team will consist of the following :

Me : Programming.
Graphics Artist : Graphics design.
Music/Sound composer : Dance/Techno Music + Sound effects for menus and in-game.

I am currently only looking for 1 graphics designer and 1 music/sound composer. I believe that is enough people for the project due to it's relatively small size, as most of the projects resources (graphics especially) will be re-used level by level.

I know I am not saying what the game is or what it will contain but this is for a reason. I want the game to be released when it is completed and don't want to be spoiling it by telling you about it before it is done.

Despite me stating that it is a small project, it is a fun game idea and will be long and hopefully addictive :)

As for how much is currently done : Well I have everything down on paper and have planned out what I need resource wise and how it will be programmed. Programming it is just a matter of doing it (shouldn't be any hitches) and I hope for the same with the graphics and music.

If you would like to join the team please post here and if possible have links to your previous work.

Thank you :)

Hey there,

You should really stop by our site (http://homebrewheaven.net) and ask for the help there. I'm pretty sure you'll get what you need.

We have a Graphics Team, that obviously work on graphics. And Team Heaven, which was created specifically to make music for homebrew games.

We have huge talent there, you'll be surprised. :)

I posted it there too (just now).

No harm in having more apples in your basket I guess :p

Not to be rude, but this isn't exactly news...
It should be posted in one of the discussion or help forums.
Possibly the art forum, but definitely not in news.

Count me in for the music if you like

Dance/techno is totally my bag baby!

you can hear some stuff here:
http://www.fast-music.co.uk/studio

I have worked with loads of dance people, and remixed some of the hotest dance acts over the years.

I also love games and homebrew stuff.

I did the music for PC shooter "Veck 2", and some sound effects and voice recordings for a friends Doom3 total conversion.

Drop me an email if you want me to do some stuff

Sparky.

Enjoy

If a moderator/admin feels the need to move this, they can gladly do so. I know it is not exactly news but this is where I wanted to post it. Sorry if it offended you :p

You could class it as pre-news though I guess.
