About VCMI

We want to rewrite the entire H3 engine (VCMI is NOT another mod) giving it new possibilities. Many months of intensive work resulted in creating application with impressive amount of features. Among current features are:
# Support for HoMM 3 graphics and maps
# Choosing scenario options
# Moving heroes and interactions with several objects
# Town and hero interfaces
# Partially done battle interface

This Polish project is open source their SVN repository with all the sources is available here. (http://tools.assembla.com/svn/vcmi/)
Is that possible to make a port of that ?

I think it could be done as it is based on libSDL.

Too bad I am no coder.

Being Polish myself though, I could try and bugger the original creators a lil' bit and see what I can get out of them.

Ok, I just did.

Seems like the good ol' folks have already contemplated such venture!

I'll try to keep my eyes on things and inform you in this thread, whether it takes 1 month or 2 years.
