Well I just got home from venturing out this morning with one thing on my mind, and that was to purchase the Hand Cannon since it is officially released today of all days being Friday the 13th (though there is also one next month).
Anyway, enough about my story and lets move onto the Hand Cannon accessory.

Well first things first, it is licensed by SEGA which for a gun is good because they have been in the area of shooters for the past 20 or so years. The design is nice, though it's coloured white to match the Wii-Remote which I guess isn't too bad but I would have settled for one that was black.
Inside the box, it looks cool. Well to be honest the box art is quite nice (I noticed that more than the gun at first), since there is a Zombie in the top right corner and two dudes below and what seems to be shadows of zombies to the left.
Outside of the box, it's very light and the Wii-Remote doesn't add too much to the weight of the accessory though the Nunchuk connected adds some weight (though possibly me thinking it does). The feel of the gun is quite nice, unlike any other gun accessory or standalone gun I've ever played with because the handle seems to be coated with something that at first I would say rubber though it's hard.
The Wii Remote fits nicely into the top, and assuming the Nunchuk is connected the wire tucks away nicely within the handle which is a good thing as the wire can be annoying with most games.

I have just tried this with Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (since I opted out've buying Overkill), and I must say that this is an excellent gaming accessory. I tried the Wii Zapper the other day, and I didn't like it so much... But this, it has that feel that any gun for an arcade shooter should have.

It's not as good as the Arcade Gun for the SEGA Saturn, but for the Wii it's possibly the best that is going to be released. Comparing the two side by side (pictured below), the Hand Cannon is longer and slightly heavier (with everything attached).
I rate this a 9/10, for being the best gun that has seen the light of day on the Wii.
Though personally I think they should have remade the original Saturn gun for this game.
