The ten best-selling videogames in the US last month were for Nintendo and Microsoft formats, leaving no room for any software in the PlayStation family.

Nintendo's first-party offerings were triumphant, with the top three best-selling games all for the Wii, according to data from NPD.

Wii Fit lead the pack with 777,000 sales, followed by Wii Play with 415,000 and Mario Kart Wii at 292,000 units.

Valve and EA's Left 4 Dead on the Xbox 360 was the highest non-Nintendo game in the top ten, with 243,000 copies sold in January.

Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: World at War and Skate 2 sold 235,000 and 199,000 units respectively, with the Wii version of Guitar Hero: World Tour moving 155,000 units.

DS titles New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS sold 135,000 and 132,000 copies, while EA's 360 SKU of Lord of the Rings: Conquest sold 113,000 units.
