EA and DICE will finally release the seven new Time Trial maps for Mirror's Edge today.

These will be available on PC and Xbox 360 for 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60), or on PS3 for seven pounds. PS3 owners, remember, have already been treated an extra and free Time Trial map for Mirror's Edge. You lucky devils.

The extra Time Trial maps are a floating clusters of primary-coloured platforms presenting myriad of speedy routes to the end of the level. And, by doing away with the cheesy story and flimsy combat, the pure and athletic joy of Mirror's Edge can flourish.

Head over to Eurogamer TV (http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/mirrors-edge-time-trial-dlc) for a rather lovely look at the new levels.

Mirror's Edge will be turned into a hand-crafted, animated, old-school platform game tomorrow. Fancy Pants creator Brad Borne is behind the project, and his website (http://www.mirrorsedge2d.com/), which currently displays "Stay Tuned...", is the place to keep an eye on.
