Another PSP test kit spotted on eBay

Remember that PSP dev kit that showed up on eBay in 2006? Nobody got that one since Sony managed to get it removed before a final deal was set, but now here's another guy selling a test kit.

The seller says that it already comes with everything you need to get it up and running, including a PSP test unit that has one dead pixel. No mention of how the seller got his hands on this thing since as far as I know, Sony just licenses dev kits to game developers.

The current bid is at US$ 811.00 (£587.30) with the bidding ending on March 16. Let's see if someone manages to buy this before Sony gets it taken down as well.

This guy isn't legally allowed to sell it, as he legally doesn't own it. Devkits are always under a lease agreement with the strict (contractual) understanding that they are to be returned to Sony when done with, or that Sony may collect them at any time.

retitle it by the way...

this is only a test kit... not the all wanted devtool ( both roughly look the same )

test kits are worthless.... they can do basically everything a homebrewed psp can aside from dvd emulation

I'm guessing that this is some kind of Debugging unit, right?

I bet if this was a devkit instead of a test kit/debugging tool, there'd be most likely more bids along with a higher pricepoint. Let's see how long this auction will stand up for before old Sony moves in on it.

it's useless. the psp is dead. once it was good, but it's over since the beginning of 08. since a couple of years, no good game released or even new features or good homebrew. it's over, i sold mine for $200. idk y i even go on this site anymore, not alot of people are on it now. back in the day, it was filled. now.........

as a matter of fact, do they even make ANY games for the PSP now?

I disagree, I still love my 3 psp's.Still use at least 1 of them everyday and will more when LBP comes out.
Kinda silly to hide the serial and not the mac address, hope it was spoofed...

cashboxz02 , I laugh at your lack of knowledge, and at your superficiality, PSP is having a pretty strong year in 2009, much better than 2008 actually (were we saw titles like patapon and Crisis core)
this year, we have ff13, resistance retribution, motorstorm, assassin's creed, lpb and much more.
so please shut your pie hole.

Hey, everyone has an opinion. What are you 10 years old?

This thing sold for $3,050. If it is just a test tool I think someone is in for a very big disappointment.

I've seen that like everywhere on ebay

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=280322906222

like there...
it makes me wonder if they're like bots or something

but I just figured instead of ebay hiding their user id's it just makes some random crap like that to show who has bid and stuff
