I've searched the forums and the internet for about a day and a half. I have not found an answer to my situation.

I am trying to download hybrid maps for my Iphone 3G to use with offlinemaps. the regular maps have been working great, but when I set GMDL to download the hybrid maps, I click the radio button labeled hybrid under Google, set my directory to download in and click download the map.

but all i am getting in the tile folders is jpegs of the regular map, not the hybrid.

here is what I have in my resume file, if it is of any use.

source=iST
zoom=8
x=81
y=178
min_zoom=1
force_jpeg=False

I have toyed with the settings quite a bit and have not had any success in getting it to download pngs, I don't even know if that is what I am suppose to be trying to do.

Am I missing a setting?

I have one other question.

Can the Iphone make use of the GeoData in any ways other than just POI's. Maybe a large DB for finding addresses while offline.

Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue here with hybrid maps.

I selected to download hybrid under google, received the warning telling me the preview will just show the satellite (what is fine for me), the tile selecion shows me the tiles in satellite mode but after download the maps I can see in my Map This software are only the road map.

The program after download all tiles, seems to generate a GPSFS file (not the tiles anymore) at the _Name directory.

Does anyone knows the solution for that?

Thanks and regards,
Alex
