Sony has released a tight group of tactically aware screenshots of SOCOM: US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo, the PSP version of its squad based shooter.

The PSP version of SOCOM will have gamers assuming the role of a SEAL commander accompanied by an AI team mate, picking their way through 14 missions designed to test their tactical thinking and sharp shooting, and will play much like the PS2 version.

Developer Zipper Interactive has included several features to make use of PSP's specific features, which include being able to link up Fireteam Bravo with SOCOM 3: US Navy SEALs on PS2 through a USB connection. By completing 'crosstalk tasks', data can be transferred between the two games affecting the gameplay in both.

An Instant Action option has been included which will enable gamers to replay a mission instantly, but the objectives and enemy placement will have been altered to offer a fresh challenge.

Fireteam Bravo can also be played as a multiplayer came using the handheld's WiFi capabilities.

SOCOM: US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo will be released for PSP on 28 April

This game is sponsored by the U.S. Navy, hence why europeans didn't have it as soon as we did. The game is excellent for online play, especially with the headset. The campaign mode is short but there is the instant mission thing too, which I haven't bothered to try out due to my always playing Socom online.

Yeah, this is indeed a quality game. Anyone get this working on a 1.5 PSP yet?
