Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPWrite the text editor for PSP.

It permits to edit even huge text file, in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits)
characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker.

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 5.x-m33, and for the IR keyboard
part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard on PSP FAT.

What's new then in 1.2.1 ? very few things :

- Add read-only mode to use pspwrite as a book reader
- Fix issue with sleep mode (psp crash)

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Happy Easter, Enjoy,

Zx.

Ir Keyboard support question.

Is the belkin IrDa going to be added to psp write?

It works well enough in PspIrc. I just have to change a few things in the keymap.

Thank you for your time.

i haven't tried myself because i don't own a belkin but it should work with this version since i'm using the same ir keyboard library.

The keyboard I am looking for should be number 3 in the pspirkeyb.ini file, or at least that's what it is in the pspirc-v1.1.7-beta.

p.s.
I am overjoyed that this project is still being worked on.

I might be getting ahead of myself but, are there any files I can copy from the pspirc-v1.1.7-beta to this pspwrite so that I can use the updated pspirkeyb.ini?

you can use your pspirkeyb file and keymap folder from pspirc to pspwrite. i've kept the old version of pspirkey.ini file when i've packaged this new pspwrite version, but the driver is the same as pspirc-v1.1.7 (and driver number 3 is supported).

This homebrew is always useful for when you aren't near a computer and have to edit stuff for homebrew.

This version will not work with 5.0 m33-6
1.2.0 however works fine...the changes have stopped the ir keyboard from working for some reason.
