i know there's a link on the main psp dcemu page but it's increadably outdated now - i was just wondering if there are any new options about as pro duos r still redicuolously expensive? >.<

Check dealextreme.com under Computers/Hardware Parts to find the Photofast CR-5400 for <$6 w/ worldwide free shipping (takes two weeks, fyi). Cheap SanDisk microSD on Buy.com ($20 for 8GB, $51 for 16GB shipped, both Class 2 SD). 24GB for $75 total, 32GB for under $110! Works super for me.
