hey there just quick question bought a UMD Movie today (Movie) and it says it requires an update -is there any methods I could use to bypass the needfor updates on this so i can play it on my 1.5 system?

Try the UMD loader by MPH. I think it runs UMD movies as well. Not entirely sure on that but its worth a try.
