I'm confused now; Is this NesterDS or NesterDS+?

This is NesterDS+. However, it's old news. Old as in "exactly 1 year old news and the news sites misread the date and thought it said 2009 and not 2008"

So if you've downloaded NesterDS+ in the last year, you've got the latest version.

Heh, guess I'll still check it out since I never have. :)

It's worth a look for graphical accuracy, but for speed NES DS is far superior.

On the other hand, this remains the only emulator for the DS that can handle Famicom games, if that makes any difference to you.

Whats the difference between NES and Famicom games? Summer Carnival '92 - Recca works on NES DS (Apart from VERY MAJOR slowdown and lack of DPCM support) and that is a Famicom game.

I'm talking about things like the original Super Mario Bros. 2 which was only released in Japan, so it only comes in *.fds format. NES DS cannot play that format, so you need an emulator that has Famicom support.

So you mean the Famicom Disk System. Thank you for alleviating the confusion.

Ah, yes, that's what I meant. NesterDS+ has support for FDS games as long as you've got the "disksys.rom" file. Note that I've never actually tested this, so I'm going by what I've heard from others.
