Our old friend Internet Reports has been at it again, this time with rumours of a new Star Wars game for PSP and Nintendo DS.

The rumours emerged after online retailers began advertising it on their sites - and this time, it turns out, they were right on the money, and Ubisoft's quietly had it on its schedule for a little while. Called Star Wars Shadow Strike, it's currently in development for both handhelds, and is due to hit the shops in May.

That's all they're saying for the moment, though; as for what type of game it'll be, all we know is that it's described as an "action" game on Ubi's latest release schedule.

Ubisoft also confirmed that a Star Wars double pack for Game Boy Advance is due out this spring - but there's no word on which titles it'll include just yet.

Star Wars Shadow Strike is out on May 26th.

I've played a beta of it, and it seemed cool.
You play as a rebel along with a flying robot companion, which you use to inflitrate areas of the empire and eventually try to steal plans for the Death Star.
Its a 3rd-person action/shooting game, and although it was still under developement when I tried it, it looked like it might be promising; with solid graphics, gameplay, etc.

I want to play the beta too, any idea on where I could find it... (or how you did)

seams interesting, i hope its better than battle front 2 was on the psp... not that it was bad, just that if they made a new game im sure they could make it better!

I played it at a company that was hired by the ones making the game to get people to try it and get their responses to the game, so I doubt you can find it. and there arent any UMD copies yet, or then at least I think,
I played it through a game-testing box that ran the game off of a dvd and ran a wire into a psp stripped of its UMD drive, memory slot, and usb port; it was kinda cool :p
anyways, I doubt they are still offering it, so you're out of luck
