The Multi Arcade emulator MAME has now been ported to the Ipod.

imphasing posted this news:

Here is a port of MAME for the ipod. Note that this will only work on the 5G ipod, unless you put another LCD driver in, so feel free to do so. I WILL NO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THIS. If you can't figure it out, you're on your own. I wrote this becuase I wanted to play pacman on my 5G, so it worked out.

Note that not all the MAME games are supported yet. Only these at the moment:
Pac-Man
Pengo
Cetipede
Millipede

Centipede and Millipede don't really "work" yet, but I'm working on that.

A few things you need to know:

This is a standalone binary, so you will need to start it from your rc, or from pz0.
You need to have a folder called "pacman" in the same directory the emulator is in, with all the pacman roms in it.
You need to not ask me for pacman roms.
The screen is oriented sideways, so play is right, menu is left, FF is up, and RW is down.

The source is released under MAME's license, which does not permit commercial useage, so don't sell it. Got it? Great, here's the download:
