Hi All,

For gamers who have missed previous versions, Stella is on of the best emulator of Atari 2600
game console, running on many different systems, such as Linux, Solaris, Windows,
MacOS/X, WinCE, OS/2, GP2X.

It has been written initially by Bradford Mott, see http://stella.sourceforge.net for details.

PSP2600 is a port on PSP of the version v2.2 of Stella. It's based on the work of Aenea.

It has been developped on linux for Firmwares 5.0-m33 and 1.5

Special thanks to Horeus for his nice icons and graphical stuff !

What's new in this version ?

- New graphics from my good friend Horeus
(see http://www.ultimatepsp.fr/)
- New Eboot music
(see http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/pako)
- Cheat support (but it doesn't work with all games)
- Finally fix issue with "Home -> Exit" !
- Add documentation for settings in help menu
- Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose
sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter
- Text editor to write your own comments on games
- Display first comment line while browsing game files
- Add hotkey to change flicker mode
- Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
- Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Awesome. Thanks again ZX!

Off-topic here, but with homebrew finally enabled on the 3000 It would make me really happy to see more emulators updated. We need SNES fullspeed!

In the meantime I'll be playing some Yars Revenge!

Thanks again!,

For me all your emu's for the psp you make are the reason to keep playing on the psp.

Do you think there's someday going to be an updated intellevision emu? I liked to play Beauty and the Beast.
(childhood memories!) Don't work on previous version.

First, thanks for the emu, it is always fun to play the games I did when I was a kid...I used to charge five cents for neighborhood kids to play a game on the Atari...good times. I have some ideas for the next update:

1. Make changes saved in settings load as default next time the emu is started.

2. Have the digital pad be default stick, most games are up/down/righ/left and the analog just does not seem to get the job done. Make it an option in settings.

3. Have a thumbnail of the game in upper right side of screen under title - like if game title matches title.jpg then the tumbail will display

4. Default to full screen

These are just a few initial things I came up with - very proud to have this emu on the my PSP. Thanks ZX!

1. If you make changes to the settings and save it before loading a game, they are saved as the default settings.

2. You can change the default game pad setting in the settings menu.

3. The thumbnails do display if you've saved the game at least once.

4. see above - you can change the defaults.

Although ZX - I did find one issue. V-sync no longer appears to be working, regardless of how you set it in the settings menu. Take a look at the Activision game "Barnstorming" and you'll see what I mean. You get tearing on the windmills and barns either way. In the last version, you didn't.
