New Commercial Game release for the PSP:

http://image.lik-sang.com/images//170/psp-daxter-us.jpg

Product Features

Daxter allows gamers to play from his animal perspective, chronicling his back-story during the two years spent alone in Haven City and answering the questions of how he managed to free Jak.

A special "Animal" mode allows Daxter to climb walls and creep up on enemies. As Daxter is an ottsel and not a human, players will have a unique moveset with agile abilities, as Daxter can crawl on all fours, fit in small places and maneuver vehicles.

One of the first games to offer PSP and PlayStation 2 interoperability, game via USB connection. Gamers can use their PSP to unlock drivers, vehicles and graphics for Jak X: Combat Racing or connect to their PS2 to open up secret features in Daxter.

Daxter's swatter and bug spray gun offers unique action mechanics across numerous seamless environments. Utilize the spray gun to hover around in the levels and add another dimension to classic platforming gameplay.

Description

After years of standing in Jak's shadow, Daxter finally gets his turn in the spotlight as he stars in his very own self-titled game. An all-new adventure platformer made exclusively for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) entertainment system, Daxter is centered around the world of the lovable orange ottsel made popular in the multi-million-selling Jak and Daxter franchise.

theres a way to get this to work with the mph and heres the way to do it ....Decrypt EBOOT.BIN with aenea's decrypter and rename to BOOT.BIN then replace in the SYSDIR.
Replace all PRXs with older versions.
Recreate ISO in UMDgen or other umd maker. ... so yea only works by modified iso... well time to buy it YEA... p.s dont ask me for the iso

is there any way of getting this game to work on a 1.5 without ripping an iso of it? I hear the iso is about 2 gigs once ripped and dont have a MS that big to play it that way nor do I want to delete other movies to make it fit. If I cannot get it working I dont think ill buy this one at all, I was really looking forward to this one to.

nope it needs a modified iso so no umd guy and it is not 2 gigs even non ripped just a lil over a gig and you can rip the non english intro videos and replace it with dummies and it will bring it down to 893 mbs and everything is intact who needs other speaking languages intro videos anyways and yes only isos god man people dont listen.

You got the actual USA UMD to work on 1.5? I will have to try again. I have the ISO working great. I have the 100% full game, all audio, videos, etc. etc. on a 799MB ISO. 799MB is not too bad for a game with this amount of depth.

I can also attest that this is a MUST HAVE game. This rivals any similar PS2 game easily. Everything seems spot on. Great controls, great camera, and HUGE 3D environments. A great game.

well reason is i dont like the loader to just play my homebrew crap and theres still stuff that plays better on a 1.5 guy and daxter on 799mbs without anything taken off you sure you got to check that again guy.

I got no reason to lie felony. It is definitely 100% the full game. NOTHING taken out except unimportant files that don't affect the actual running of the game. I rebuilt the ISO myself with UMDGEN 2.00. If you know the file structure and what files to remove, anyone can do it. 799MB Full Game & All Movies. There is a way to get it down to like 400MB or so but then you lose all the movies. I happen to like having the complete game.

As for staying at 1.5 firmware. I am all for that as well. Time seems to be on our side. No matter how many speedbumps get put in place by newer firmware and firmware required games, eventually some very talented people seem to be finding work-arounds.

Sandisk is releasing this badboy sometime this month so if I have to play newer games in ISO form..... so be it.

damn pirates. i couldn get MPH to work so i updated the firmware. let me tell u, it was worth it. definatly the best game ever for the psp. Graphics easily equal those of any other jak game on the ps2, seamless controls, awesomly done scale, camera and sounds. perfection. actually worth giving up so much homebrew.

No, they realize its not good to keep flashing your psp over and over.

This is why I'm glad to have 2 psps, these days with all the new games requiring new firmware you almost have to have 2 psp is you want to take full advantage of all of the games and hombrew for psp.

This game is very good, and it will work on 1.5 if you rip it but its definately not worth upgrading for if you have a 1.5.

I'm just worried what will happen if my 1.5 breaks, most of the new psps you buy now are 2.01 and above.
Eventually in a few year almost no one will still own a 1.5 that works, unless someone figures out how to downgrade the newer firmware obviously.

to use it on 1.5 you will need...
UMD Emulator 0.8c, UMD GEN, PRX Decrypter, and MPH Loader 1.1.

It won't work straight from the UMD.

There is no way to run Daxter Orginal UMD on 1.5?

I have to run it as an ISO?

I was told to extract the 2.0 FW using this->runumd_ver00101a1

then extract the 2.6 FW with the same program, then run the UMD.

Can any one conform that this is correct?

cal360

i haven't heard about that and i don't think you can extract things of a umd

I have tried what you said, I used the DBZ FW files. And the UMD doesn't load. But I think that DBZ is a 2.5 FW not an 2.6.

I tried using MPHL Flash Installer, it doesn't create the Flash 0 and Flash 1, the psp crashes after 5 min. So I don't think, we can create the flash for a 2.6 FW but if we can then the Original UMD's 2.6 will work.
