TxtWriter (http://ds.spacemonkeymafia.com/txtwriter.php) is a ... text writing program. Using the virtual keyboard, you can type out a message that can then be saved to a CF card in a device such as the GBAMP. Button assignments for shift, backspace, space, and return make typing a little easier and are paralleled on both sides for left- and right-handed people.

Heres whats new:

save, read & load, and delete files from a CF card in a GBAMP and M3 with overwrite confirmation
file menu with an alphabetized file list
a working virtual keyboard with shift/caps, button highlighting, and F-key support
custom font
word wrapping and line scrolling
document navigating with home/end/page up/page down & arrow keys with a cursor
mirrored button key assistance mapping non-character keys for aided text input
dialog boxes for user input, selection confirmation, and information alerts
looking pretty snazzy

Works fine for me.

That said though, you might want to get the DLDI version, available at http://gtamp.com/DS/txtwriter_0.3.2.zip or mirrored at http://users.bigpond.net.au/grandtheftauto/txtwriter_0.3.2.zip

It uses the FAT filesystem, so it will most likely not work in any emulator. Well, maybe Dualis, but I'm not sure.

You'll need to patch with the MMP's DLDI file and then it should work on actual hardware.

You just patch it with the regular DLDI file for your device and then use the controls listed on the main website to save and load files.

Old Thread is Old, but I wanted to know if there's anything similar that is NOT part of dsorganize (for some reason dso's text editor likes to EAT my files), or dslinux (useable, but datel gnm user...think my sd card might also be dying out on me causing further errors).
