I've not tried this program, yet, but from what I've read here seems to be making a hot contender for a PSP operating system. Keep it up. If you need a guru you know where I am. Or do you?

yeah you got it!
all the time i was waiting for a good shell, which support a beautiful file manager, so theres mb shell that doesnt support such a thing (for now) and psp oss, which i dont like. so theres another candidate for the first place in the psp os competiton, zhank you for the good work, and dont stop it!!

edit: i forgot psix, i think its a really bad joke! (pay for homebrew, pah!)

best PSP OS I tried yet! REALLY NICE!!!!!!! o_______o
I might use it in the future! :)

my wishlist:
-mp3 shuffle function
-mp3 icon view support (you know.. you can add image icons to your mp3s.. like the covers of the songs, it's really good looking at the original psp os!
-psp remote control support
(yeah, I'm a big fan of using the psp as my mp3 player :) )

Keep up that f*cking good work! You rock, dude!!

Just tried it and could not see how to add icons or delete them in real time. The song skip functions didn't work either. I couldn't work out how to delete files or move them around and I wish it would tell you what UMD is in the drive. Oh, the PSP icon does nothing... Just asking to see if it is my machine or just incomplete software. What I see so far though is pretty exciting for the PSP's future.

Yeah about that images or thumbnails, I've noticed that some of my mp3's have an image attached to them, but it's only seen on my psp. Is there a way I can view the images attached to them, and I so, is there a possibility of adding your own?

Dude, this is awsome! My favorite shell ever! Just one question, is there support for Homebrew icons? If not thats fine......Great job tho :D Maybe you can add an OSX icon for the eboot when you load it from the PSP's firmware.

please read the readme next time, this is a beta. If your unaware of what a beta is it is:

"Beta releases are generally made to a group of lucky
(or unlucky) trusted customers. 2. Anything that is new and
experimental. "His girlfriend is in beta" means that he is still
testing for compatibility and reserving judgment. 3. Flaky;
dubious; suspect (since beta software is notoriously buggy)."
and some more...

"Historical note: More formally, to beta-test is to test a
pre-release (potentially unreliable) version of a piece of software
by making it available to selected (or self-selected) customers and
users."
Not everything is functional. This release was to basically let people know whats going on and have an idea of what PSPosx actually is. Expect alot more in future releases, this is just the beginning.

Yeah, if they released Windows OSX, that'd be a blatant ripoff of the Mac OSX name. I don't see why this is an exception.

I don't like macs much, but the name is misleading - I got kinda excited when I saw the thread name because I thought it meant that there was a Mac OSX emulator on PSP.

Macs are sexy - osx is kinda in the same family as BSD... so it gets points for that.

The title is kind of lame though.. I remember when fluff or whoever wanted to name PSIX PSPwindows or somthing dumb like that... this isnt much differant... on the other hand this is his program to name so quit your bitching.

"... title is kind of lame..." ~1timeuser
"... his program to name so quit your bitching." ~same person

Erm... :-/ Okay...

Even with that, I think we should be allowed to have negative opinions towards certain aspects of things...

I feel like a lucky customer to be able to get a quality production for free, not like PSix, which is kicking dirt in the faces of all the hard working people(slasher) out there, by charging for homebrew.

Did you make that beta stuff up, cause its damn funny. Still laughing. Cheers for the reply. Didn't meant to stick a carrot up your pipe(my attempt at humor :( ),

Next time put it into the future capabilities notes next to the other notes I dont read. :P

Once again, keep it up.

The topic is the program "psp osx", not the ever-onward war of "Mac vs. PC". Besides, if you just think of one thing, you will never be disappointed by either again. Mac = non-gaming computer. PC = ALL purpose, including games, though not quite as developed as the Macs program-wise because they have a bit of everything
