Tassus (http://sivullinen.fi/nds/index.php?category=sivut&article=Projects.php) has released Infinite 3D world generator, heres the info:

In this demo you can walk in any direction forever and new terrain is generated on the fly. The upper screen shows a 2D map of the area. You can move with stylus or d-pad. Hold 'L' for a different view.

wow, that impreesive, i can only imagine the possibilities of adding a game to this. just think, a dungeon crawler where the dungeons are different every time (like dark cloud) or an rpg where if you restart everything is in different places. sweet.

Awesome! It would be pretty cool to use this for racing games too, if that's possible. You'd have to figure out some way to make the track loop back to the begining...

Good work!

the main question is, if u go backwards is all your terrain gone :O? lol it probably would because if it would go back to the ol dterrain it would take up so much memory

Nope! I found a good marker spot and then went one for about 60 seconds straight North and then turned around and came back to the exact same spot, a depression with sand at the bottom.

I thought this was a new post... haha. Im kind of hoping this isnt an update over the version I currently have on my DS. As to be honest its much worse (Plus the version I have plays cool music)
