An unknown Japanese coder releases a new homebrew for PSP. These PCE and is nothing but an emulator on the PC Engine. Unfortunately the changelog in Japanese does not allow us to get to know the characteristics of this release.

Wraggs, this is not new homebrew...this is an update to the old PCEP emulator.

BTW, I really don't know why they've included the Alpha and Beta1 versions of the emu....they play much like the old 0.70 version...The one you want to put on your PSP is THIS ONE:

Here's what I've noticed is new:

- Rendering Background images is much more powerful now.
- Fixed and added Shading video modes.
- New options to preview MP3 Tracks in the Emulator Menu (From the Main Menu press R Trigger)
- PCM sounds much cleaner...still missing some sounds in-game and not quite synched correctly though.(for Dracula X, try setting the Base Clock option to 2150000, this fixes sound synch...other games need values adjusted manually)
- MP3 compatibility seems to be coded to the media engine now...As a result of this...No more scratchy tracks.
- Runs much smoother than the old previous version.
- It appears savestates has been recoded, as none of my old saves seem to work. :(
- Still NO support for .ZIP compressed files :(

A few screenshots with a custom BGs:

A word of advice...Although this one seems to run Dracula X and other CD games much smoother than the latest PCEHugo, this emulator is not as user friendly as the latest PCEHugo release and inexperienced people will have a lot of trouble trying to run it because you need the bios cards and all that stuff.

Nice to hear it's real. Long time gone since last release.

Thanks. I have a soft spot for the TG16. First system I ever purchased.
