Publication of highly-anticipated government report to be postponed until next week.
The long awaited Digital Britain report – a government commissioned study on the future of IT in the UK – is to be delayed until next week. Once the report has been published and a plan implemented, the report's author, Lord Carter will stand down.

According to an interim version of the report, the UK should aim to have universal broadband access, capable and robust mobile networks, digital delivery of public services and a world leading position in the communications and creative industries by 2012.
