A new release of the PS2 Emulator for Windows called PCSX2 (http://www.pcsx2.net/), heres whats new:

Yes folks PCSX2 0.9 is here, by no means gracefully, but it is here!

You can now enjoy PCSX2 0.9 a faster and more compatible PS2 emulator, it's been a year since 0.8.1 was released so you will see many dramatic changes!

Many games are now going ingame, and some are even playable (check out games like Disgaea, or Silent Hill 4!)

On behalf of all the team I would like to say a big HELLO to linuzappz, and a large thankyou for everything he's done for us prior to him leaving the team!

Given the site troubles over the past 24 hours, I can assure you that myself and several devs right now are totally bald from ripping our hair out!

The emulator is pretty impressive considering it acutally goes in game on some games, like Final Fantasy X. But I'm still dissapointed after a whole year release its still not really playable when it comes to speed. Unfortunatley that is something that we can only hope is worked out in the future. I'm looking foward to playing Kingdom Hearts on my computer one day at full speed. :) But just running the bios and seeing the PS2 boot up screen looks pretty cool.

Just curious...is the file extension supposed to be "7z"? I've never seen that extension before and obviously my machine has no program which can recognize it. Anyone mind telling me what I'm missing?

7z is a 7zip file use either 7zip or winrar on it, either will work

were can i go to get the games to play on this emulator i am just getting into using them and i am trying to learn.

I downloaded pcsx2windows.zip but it always say that the file is invalid or corrupted. what should I do to download it correctly?

Good to see someone is working on a PS2 emulater so we can port it to be used on the PSP3 :P !!

Hopefully it doesn't take a year for the next release though. As I'm one of those people that need to hear at least WIPS on emulators in progress or otherwise I go nutty :P. But I hope this emulator goes far just like the ps1 emulator.

my computer wont read the file when i try to decompress it
