Because of the new n64 emu coming out for PSP, i just wanted to know what games are good and what arent. Any suggestions?

i have to say a great skateboarding game is Tony hawk Pro skater 2
good game is Supermario n64
umm let me think its been soo long
mario party and smash bros
quake 64
1080 snowboarding
waverace
MK gold, trilogy ect

these are all i can think of that arnt too big for the emulator PSMonkey is releaseing

the rom is over 16megs which is the max size of a rom because of the size of the psp memory

wait...what memory? can i not just be placed within the memory card? I have a 1 gig mem card, and alllll the nintendo ROMs I have only amount to 198MB.

is it true?the roms need to be smaller than 16 mb?! but why can't he make a progressive loading?well i dont know maybe it's too difficult but i guess n64 didn't had that much ram too..it's probably something related to emulation

Snowboard Kids 1 and 2 were my all-time favorite. The graphics were never amazing, but this game is loaded with charm like you wouldn't believe.

And of course, San Francisco Rush and it's sequals Rush 2 and San Francisco Rush 2049 - though I personally love the first San Francisco Rush best, as it was one of my first N64 games back in the day.

I know about the ram issue, and i was wondering could the emulator run compressed games? Or can the even be a possibility?

The problem is that the N64 was a cartridge based system so the system has instant access to the data on the cartridge hence the whole ROM has to be memory to be 'emulated' as a cartridge. Reading from a memory card is too slow.

A form of progressive loading can work however if some data (such as the textures) was dumped to a seperate file and loaded when needed (a la GnGeo2x) but one step at a time here ;).

Why hasn't any said PAPER MARIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to big for Monkey 64:(, but who knows, maybe oneday it will work.

Resident Evil 2 - The best version of this game is on N64. Not even the dreamcast or Gamecube versions are as perfect as this.

goldeneye, perfect dark, mario 64, mario kart 64, zelda ocarina of time, majora's mask, doom 64, quake 64, quake 2, duke nukem 64, duke nukem zero hour, kirby crystal shards, f-zero X, Super smash bros, yoshi's story(sorta),and 007 live another day. That is a he** of a good system.

That's my favourites, but the N64 had an awesome collection of games, there's loads of good ones. Loads of really awfull ones too, of course, anyone play "Body Harvest"?

Anyways about that n64 games and the ram isssue. I heard its slow to load from mem sticks. Just a realization here but the new 2gig HIGH SPEED sony mem stick i just bought (for ONLY $67, ebay) can transfer at 80mgps. Is there no way to get the emu to use the sticks 80mbps ability to load games like perfect dark? Or am i missing somthing?

Not to go off topic but are you sure that memory stick you bought isn't a fake? All sticks on eBay are pretty much all fakes. *Very* few people sell legit ones theres, not enough for me to not say "almost all" but all" sticks there are fake.

And I don't know if the transfer speed of the stick would make much difference. The San Disk ones are supposed to be actually faster than the Sony ones and they've been out for a while now...so who knows, I don't know anything about programming a N64 emulator.

i got a da** fast 1 gig mem stick. It loads gameboy roms in 1-9sec at most, and loads doom (18mb) at 12seconds. id say if u have a good mem stick, any game will be at "playable" speed.
