UK mobile operator T-Mobile has confirmed that its second and the UK’s third Google Android enabled mobile phone is on the way – though the debate rages as to what handset it will actually be.
T-Mobile was the first telecoms firm to offer an Android device in the UK in the form of the HTC Dream, or T-Mobile G1 as it was known in the UK. This launch was followed in April this year by Vodafone’s HTC Magic – the QWERTY-less successor to the Dream.
Whilst T-Mobile has confirmed the name of its next handset – the T-Mobile G1 Touch – it’s still not known what handset it will actually be.

The logical answer is the HTC Magic, but with Vodafone currently believed to be enjoying an exclusivity period on that device attentions have turned elsewhere. PCWorld speculates that the G1 Touch could be the little known Huawei U8230 (pictured) but it’s all just speculation at the moment.
Other sources have suggested that HTC is lining up a brand new version of the Dream for T-Mobile that boasts a better touch screen and no QWERTY keyboard.
