New version offers new features and extended social networking capabilities.
Music discovery specialist Shazam has released of an updated version of its iPhone app.
The new version utilises the iPhone OS 3.0 enhancements, which means the company has been able to integrate with the likes of Twitter.
The Shazam app was first launched on the App Store last July and in the time since has amassed seven million users.
Shazam CEO Andrew Fisher said: “Since launching on the App Store last year, Shazam has achieved a huge following with iPhone and iPod touch users.
We have listened and learned from our iPhone and iPod touch users over the past year and we are confident that the millions of Shazamers around the world will enjoy the enhanced functionality of this latest release.”
