Earlier this year developer FrozenByte announced it was prepping a cooperative platformer called Trine for PlayStation Network and PC. During E3 publisher Atlus revealed it planned to deliver the game to Xbox Live Arcade. And today publisher SouthPeak announced it will handle the PC version.

"The PC platform gives as many players as possible the chance to join forces and find creative methods for completing game objectives," said Richard Iggo, VP of Marketing at SouthPeak Interactive. "It's up to them to determine how their quests will progress and how they'll ultimately achieve victory."

Trine is a fantasy action game that plays with physics and features three playable characters – which means it's meant to be played by three people at once (although one can play and switch between characters at will). It is unclear at this time whether or not we'll be able to play co-op online. From what we've seen of the game so far it looks pretty cool.
