Hoorah! Lara's back! After years in the wilderness following the despicable Angel of Darkness, everybody's favourite buxom bounty hunter has fought off the mighty EA juggernaut by knocking the largely rubbish The Godfather from the top spot in this week's Chart Track all-format top 40.
For the most part, the game's a grand old return to form, thanks to developer Crystal Dynamic's feisty reinvigoration of Lara's main assets - so well done there, you. With The Godfather now loitering around at number two (somewhat appropriately), it's non-mover-tastic at number three as FIFA Street 2 fails to shift either up or down.

Meanwhile, there's a slightly surprisingly chart propulsion at number four as Ice Age 2: The Meltdown rockets up from number fourteen - presumably at the behest of a thousand nagging pre-teens. Not much action at five and six however, as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter sits quietly on its arse at the former and Animal Crossing: Wild World deservedly remains in the top ten at the latter position.
There's a mighty plummet from two to seven for Bethesda's glorious The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (apparently it's now shifted 1.7 million units worldwide), meaning that hilarious "tumbling into..." joke is drawing ever closer, while DIY Electro Shock Therapy emulator BUZZ! The Big Quiz slips from four to eight.

At nine, there's a re-emergence from the void for Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Championship Manager 2006 takes a tumble from nine to ten. Elsewhere, the mighty Guitar Hero debuts at twenty eight, meaning we're off to go hang ourselves in despair. All in all, not a terribly exciting week for the UK charts, but let's be honest - when is it ever?

I don't mean to whine, but why is this and the console chart news posted on the dreamcast-section frontpage?
