How well do the emulators for the NES and the SNES work on the DS?

I'm wondering if a DS might be a better buy than the gp2x.

The GP2X was designed for homebrew, and I once owned a DS, until I sold it and got a PSP.
The homebrew apps for the DS are very hard to code, so you wont be seeing as much homebrew as you would on the GP2X.

I would say get the GP2X... but from what I hear, GP2X 2.0 will be out sometime, so I would wait for that.

The SNES and NES are coming along great on the DS and you also have the opportunity to play backup DS roms on a DS along with a smaller form factor with the DS Lite

ds also has wifi, gp2x no
i would go for ds, but they both are good
the homebrew scene doesn't seem that great for the gp2x tho, for a just homebrew console
i would reach for psp for snes

psp and if you have a psp waste 150 dollars buying 2gb memory sticks on ebay ( they have them on 35 dollars , are highspeed , and not fake ).
