A big newspost thanks to Metafox:[br][br] The future of the Midwest Gaming Classic (http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com) does not look bright. Dan Loosen and Gary Heil need your help. They have lost significant amounts of money over the last few years, and, if the Midwest Gaming Classic will happen again in the future, they need your commitment to help them out now. They have had some great help over the past few years with Marty Goldberg and Tom Lucht, but unfortunately there is still too much work for just four people to do. They need to get help with everything from getting people to help sponsor the event to helping to create and distribute flyers.[br][br]The Midwest Gaming Classic has lost well over $4000.00 in the three years of operation, and the show cannot continue in the future without a lot of help from the community.[br][br]This is where you come in. If you would like to help the Midwest Gaming Classic continue into the future, they need you to contact them in some way and offer your help. No matter what your skills are or where you live, if you can offer them you will help bring the Midwest Gaming Classic back to Milwaukee in 2005. They could use people for any or all of the following jobs and more:[br][br]- Graphic design for flyers[br]- Graphic design for the Web site[br]- People to distribute flyers throughout town[br]- Volunteers at the show to help man the entrances and exits and sell tickets[br]- People to write articles[br]- People to help contact prospective sponsors, vendors and exhibitors[br]- People with PHP skills to help update the Web site on a timely basis[br]- People in the Milwaukee area to provide more “things to do” pictures[br]- People willing to sell tickets to the event[br]- People to provide materials to help the event (paper, signage, tape, etc.)[br]- And just about anything else that you can think of to help![br][br]If they do not receive a strong response within approximately one month, they will either cancel the event for the foreseeable future or completely change the scope of it. Note that you do not need to live in Wisconsin or even be planning on attending the event if you want to help.[br][br]If you are interested in helping the show, check out This topic (http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=54123) on the DCEmulation (http://www.dcemulation.com/) message boards.

I would be willing to offer help with the graphic design aspects of this, but I am afraid I will have very little time to actually commit to anything.

Besides the fact that, if you did it, someone with a stick up their ass would start bitching again about how you change everything. ::)
