My psp cfw 5.00 m33-6 wont let me play umd discs

I am new on here and saw a lot of help given on this site, so I thought hey I might as well give it a shot. My psp is cfw 5.00 m33-6. It wont let me play umd discs. The game reader wont even try to load the game. I dont know which settings to have it on. If anyone knows, please help me out. And yes i made sure it was on umd required in the recovery mode. just a heads up.

what model PSP are you using
and what mother board does it have

its a 2001.. as for the motherboard.. no clue...thanks for reply..

Reinstall the firmware, either via Hellcat's Recovery or Pandora.

try setting the USB mode to UMD (so that when you plug it into your computer, it accesses the UMD)
just to see if that much works

or if you really want to play the UMD games
give up on the CFW and update to offical
