NOTE: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR PSP LIKE BRICKING IT! IT IS YOUR OWN PROBLEM NOT MINE!

I herd about these fake PSP 2.5 downgraders all over the internet that end up giving you a brick. This has properly been tried already but I’ll try anyway, so the eboots have DATA.PSP and DATA.PSAR files in them to store the program so what happens if you change them like the 2.6 upgrade PARAM.SFO stays the same and you change the DATA.PSP and DATA.PSAR files what will happen? I don’t know because I’m too afraid to try on my PSP so I’m asking if people can test it and see what happens.
I made an untested downgrade eboot if you want it just go http://files.filefront.com/PSP_25_DOWNGRADER_MAYBEzip/;5001396;;/fileinfo.htm

Thanks

why would u want to upgrade to 2.6 when ur at 2.6?? and if u tried to make it a 1.5 update this is what it would do: u would hit the "START" button and it would say: "firmware version is 2.60. there is no need to update.

Is this thread not about a DOWNgrader?

I don't blame you for not trying. Even I 'm not trying. Can you try it with a 1.5 psp with the mph firmware loader to see if it works. Man I hate 2.5. I'm still kicking my self in the ass for upgrading.

Edit- No need to worry about bricking ur psp when u try to run it, it takes u back to the main screen with an error message

Oh Jesus....this has been discussed so many times before :p A downgrader is not possible by editing the EBOOT in ANY way, shape, or form. No matter WHAT you change, if a single byte in the EBOOT is changed, it automatically becomes corrupted.

Hmm these threads only seem to stay alive when I'm gone for awhile.

LOCKAGE, If it hasn't been posted as news on credible PSP sites then it is fake boys and girls.
