Sony has told Eurogamer that images of pre-paid European PSN cards are Photoshop jobs - rehashed pictures of US cards with a Euro currency symbol stuck on top.

"Those PSN cards are US images altered to have the Euro sign," said a SCEE spokesperson, referring to the pictures on Kotaku.

"I have no details on Euro PSN cards I'm afraid," the spokesperson added.

Pre-paid cards provide people without credit or debit cards access to PSN funds to purchase games, add-on content, films and telly shows.

Rumour has it that they will be available in €20 and €50 sums and launch with the PSPgo in October. The PSPgo, remember, has no UMD drive and so relies solely on downloaded content.
