While the West waits with baited breath for Nintendo's announcement regarding the release of its sexy new DS Lite, it seems that the company's primed and ready to unleash a new colour variation over in Japan. This time, joining the existing line-up of Crystal White, Enamel Navy and Ice Blue, a new black model appears to be on the cards.
It's all a bit of a mystery, this one though. The information, for want of a better word, comes courtesy of a scan from Japanese mag Famitsu, currently circulating around the net. It seems the scan originally went up on a Japanese blog, but thanks to our completely non-existant ability to read the language, we're not entirely sure what's going on in it.
Still, in amongst all the gumph on the page, there's no denying the sexy new black DS Lite languishing around like it owns the place. So, currently unannounced new model or prototype? We couldn't possibly say.
At this point in time, we're more interested in hearing when Europe can expect to get its hands on the glorious redesigned handheld. But, if you're listening Nintendo, we quite fancy one of those black ones too.
