Codemasters has managed a second week at the top of the UK sales chart with Ashes Cricket 2009, according to the latest figures from Chart Track.

Last week the company became the first UK publisher in over two years to top the all-formats chart, with sales that were close in numbers to EA's recent chart-topper Fight Night Round 4.

And Ashes Cricket's strong sales performance has continued, with the game fending off strong competition from Nintendo with Wii Sports Resort, which remained in its number two position from last week, and Wii Fit, which also stayed in the same position at number three.

Ubisoft's Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood continued to enjoy top ten success, moving up three places to number four - its highest chart position so far - and Mario Kart Wii also gained two chart positions, to number six.

EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 slipped one place to number five, while The Sims 3 dropped out of the top ten altogether this week, ending up at number 13. Sales of Fight Night Round 4 continued to sink too, with the game ending up at number 12, down from number five last week, and Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince also dropped from number six, to number 10 this week.

The publisher did however record one success story - a new top ten entry from Madden NFL 10, which achieved high enough début sales to land it a number eight position

Meanwhile, Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty: World At War resurfaced in the top ten at number seven, up from 11 and Disney's film tie-in G-Force stayed rooted in the same position this week, at number nine.

The full Chart Track UK sales chart, for the week ending August 15 is as follows:

01 Ashes Cricket 2009

05 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
