wow. i knew this would happen eventually! As wraggy stated openMugen isnt very far along so dont get too upset when you arnt playing with all of your favorite fighting game chars and levels yet. give it time! I would call this release a teaser of what is to come by the official openmugen team!

check out the official team and keep up with this project
http://openmugen.sourceforge.net/main_new.html

perhaps this will boost the teams moral and push them to work a little more on this project

Its not as far along as I had hoped,
however. the animation is smooth as silk,
And Kech still retains his kinghthood,
He did a very nice job with this and I hope next version, he impliments some super moves, possible killer instinct combos. and more character and some backgrounds :D maybe some music and sound effects :p

Even tho this isnt ver far along its still great and I hope he keeps working on this

Try googling "Mugen character downloads"...I got a bunch of sites but most of them are down....

Anyways, I downloaded a bunch of characters, stages & add ons like character selection menus and life bars, but nothing yet works in this port...I'll just wait and hope these things run in the next update.

Many thanks to kech for getting the ball rolling...

I hoped that I could at least test a few characters though. I tried adding a "charselect.txt" in the main directory, and changed "kfm" to thor (I was trying to test the mvc style thor)...no luck though.

Awwww...crap! Why do I get a "Pornography Warning" when I visit that site? I'm getting a fat lip from my boss tommorrow for this...thanks!:D

Anyways...This port hasn't been worked on since it's original release...has it? I really hope somebody can pick this up and make it as awesome as the PC version...Imagine playing Street Fighter III with thousands of characters on our PSPs.

I run a port of Linmugen on my xbox called XMugen. i simmply just love it (with recent performance improvements I personally like it better than pc..but that's me...) the files look very similar I wonder If this "demo" can simply be adjusted to add chars and stages interesting stuff indeed

Yep, i'am the another one who is going to pull this thread up :P

And don't be angry, because who wouldn't want to have MUGEN on his PSP?

So I'm asking if there has been any progress in this development?

I mean, kech, you have started with a Great programm! So could you please make it in this end, that we can customize this with lifebars, charas, levels etc. and a Pack where we could make something like 100 charas available?

I know this is my first post, but i registered just because of this one. All the Threads 'bout MUGEN are nearly 1 Year old and i thougt it couldn't be that the Projects are somewhere in the Dark.

So as I said, it would be enoug if in OpenMugenPSP we could have a startetpack where we could make our own Mugen which we have on our PCs. And if it is to much for you, just tell me how the hell i could do this on my own ;)

Damn...talk about ressurecting the dead!!!

...But I have to agree with our fellow Newb Chipperoo, here. If only we had access to the source of this project, I'm sure alot of improovements could be done to it....hence Character/Stage/Music customization and who knows???...Wi-Fi even.

I'm very interested in seeing development done in this part of the quiet wood-work....and I can't remotely begin to think that I am the only one that feels this way.

C'mon fellow Devs...wadda ya say we give Open-Mugen a stab...for the sake of all things holy?

Yeah looks like we need the source code...
I wonder how we could contact him that he might make something in this, i mean ok for one part there a big things which i wish, but for the other part he just has to make this things and then we could make all our games byself....

Mugen on the PSP... an 1 Year old Dream. Is it just vanished?

NO! We WANT it back ;)

and as Akoklepz says:

C'mon fellow Devs...wadda ya say we give Open-Mugen a stab...for the sake of all things holy?

EDIT:
By the way i was searching for the source code in goole :D yeah ^^ i know just behold it for yourself.

and i found this:

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=297062&st=0
there is the E-mail from the openmugen programmer staying. I think we could ask for the source code, that our people here could make the port? ;)

And i know, that i'm really crazy but i have found some e-mail adresses vom elecbyte hell XD what do i do just to play mugen on the psp ^^ :P

is this based off the customizable fighter for the comp?

Seelbreaker
January 9th, 2007, 00:39
yeah something like MUGEN on the PC, but in a real early stage, because you couldn't add your own charas, or stages.

If this possibility would be given (or if we would have a source code that we can give the coders) we could have a realy great beat em up on the psp.

I truly cannot wait for this port at the moment with the dark alex stuff/cps2 to me this is the last piece in the puzzle. I figured I'd post the redirect link for their project sadly it is under construction:
