StrmnNrmn posted in our forums (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=23614&page=10&pp=10)

<blockquote>Ok, I have an updated version - amongst a couple of other small fixes (.z64/.rom, relative paths) this also runs in user mode, which I'm hoping will solve the problems for v2.0 firmware users.

I must say though, this is cool as all hell get out! Thanx to you (and psmonkey) for the work that has gone into making the psp a machine worth owning!

Hey. I have a 2.6 and I've been running Mario 64 and Starfox 64.

I'm using this updated version (Daedalus PSP R2 ).

They work fine, the roms had to be put into zip files in order for the emu to read the files (a tip I got from the forums). Everything else works just as StrmnNrmn said, only I can't take screenshots. I press select, then triangle to pull up the debugger, and square to take a screenshot, but when I try to resume the game the psp freezes up.

That's the only problem.

2.6
*No sound
*Odd colors (on certain 3D models)
*4.5-4.6 fps (for Mario 64)

No way!!!! This is too good to be true!! Can you really play Mario 64? Could the entire game be beaten at this point? I'm not really worried about the speed. I mean, I played Terra Incognita, for gosh sakes! That game's like 7FPS I think. Can you really beat the whole game now though? If so, that's just sick. I need a little Goldeneye action though. It's been years since I've played that. It's my fav N64 game.

I ran it on my 2.6 PSP without the ROMS zipped. Awesome work!

In user mode, wont it be slower?

I was using the first release (havent downloaded the user mode version) and mario was running choppy (unplayable) but VERY good for a first release, and looked better than the shots PSmonkey has posted (no offense, his will be MUCH faster than this one) and i heard someone said it was running at 4-7 FPS... which it seams if you could get it at 8-14 FPS It may be playable...

Will you release 2 versions, user mode and kernal mode? Isnt kernal mode faster?

Or should i donwload user mode :P (i got 1.5 Version...)

I found a way to make it run faster- run it through IRShell at 333 mhz it will give you a nice boost in speed.

The roms do work better if they are zipped

I was looking at the Config file that came with Daedalus R2, you know, the one with all the stuff about games working and what not. And, I saw this

From Daedalus R2 Config file:
{b71170ec2bd71676-45}
Name=The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time (v1.0)
Comment=Playable
Info=3D Texture Errors
SaveSRAM

I know that this was ported from the PC version and was woundering if this was for that, cuz large roms wont work, and Zelda it over 30mb! I haven't tested this yet to see what it actually does on the PSP, but I am after I post this. It says the same thing for Mario Party, and it too is over 30mb.

I think the stuff in the cfg file is from the PC version of the program and not the PSP version since most of the games in it say that they are playable but they don't work for the psp.

Ya I noticed that now. I like for Mario 64 is says "Playable, No flaws".

everything I can possibly say about this has been said already.

But I still felt the need to post so I can keep up with this thread :)
