What is pspWxp?

pspWxp stands for PlayStation Portable Windows XP. It is based off of winpsportal (scroll down to read more about winpsportal).

pspWxp will NOT harm your PSP!!! It is NOT homebrew!

pspWxp allows you to use Windows XP on your Playstation Portable. Well, really it is just a set of webpages that look similar to Windows XP, but they are offline. It has some useful features: lots of games and applications. You do not need to access the internet for most of pspWxp, only to access the links and use the web browser. This way it's much faster. As it is only 1.5 Megabytes in size, it will fit on any memory card!

pspWxp is based off winpsportal. Winpsportal is a free Windows XP portal for your PlayStation Portable. Just put the 1MB folder on your memery card and Voila! WIndows XP on your PSP! Winpsportal is also available in different themes.

pspWxp will NOT harm your PSP<-------sounds fishy! Its a portal, it runs through PSP web browser...it can't kill or damage a PSP. You DO need Firmware 2.0 to use this :( (I have 1.5)

Some people should try reading.. this is just a serious of web pages with the style of Windows XP. XP can't and won't ever run on the PSP (and I don't say can't/won't much!)

the psp barley meets standard for old versions of windows 98 takes FOREVER TO LAUNCH...even when it is ported...it wont load crap....he is right XP WILL NEVER REALLY BE ON THE PSP

And yea, i think it's highly unlikely that windows xp could actually be installed on a psp.
Why didn't I say impossible? Windows XP minimum system requirements...
- processor clock speed required is 233mhz... Alright
- 1.5 gb hard drive... Alright
- svga video adaptor + monitor... aparently needs this but i dont think thats a real problem.
- cd-rom drive... not really a problem.
- keyboard and mouse... not really a problem.
- 128 mb of ram... ok so psp only has 32mb (24mb usable) so this will require some serious psp hardware hackage!
- Has to be a PC... needs x86 instead of MIPS? ok so it needs to be emulated...

Apparently, that's all windows xp needs...
Yes, i don't think we will be seeing the real thing any time soon either... :rolleyes:

PSP its supposed to be a handhelp machine get a laptop if you want to serch the net on the go. the browser is horrible. then again mi area 51 laptop is a zillion times better use the psp for games what it was ment for
