News from Raf: (http://rafpsp.homeip.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=424) that Links2 Web Browser is now a stand alone release, heres whats new etc:

This list includes what was already part of the plugin for PSPRadio:
(raf) Dyn/Retawq: -Updated code to take advantage of changes to newlib (for pipes/file descriptors/sockets)
(raf) Dyn/Retawq: -Cleaned up the code to make it easier to update when a new version of retawq is available.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -Browser ported to PSP. PSPRadio plugin created. Using version 2.1pre20 with utf8 patch. Using SDL SW Surfaces for graphics.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -dithertable is now saved to file, if file is found (now provided), the its loaded instead of generated. (This speeds up startup from over 1min to seconds)
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -danzeff SDL library used for OSK. Thanks, Danzel.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -Screenshot can be taken pressing SELECT. Use File->Switch to PSPRadio to go back to PSPRadio. Then select the plugin again to get back to Links2.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -SMB support is completely removed to free more memory.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -Removed support for all languages except english to free more memory.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -Removed japanese font to free more memory.
(danzel) Dyn/Links2: -Use lite danzeff OSK now (no transparencies) to free memory.
(raf) Dyn/Links2: -Version reported includes the subversion revision now.

It works great for me thanks!!!! All that freed up memory really helps the browsing experience. Way less crashes. Keep up the great work

Hmm, yeah, doesn't seem to be working for me either. FW1.5, stable non-enc wifi access... first & only congifuration I have... works with the Fried Up browser...
Links2 will turn on the wifi light, but the first thing it tells me is that the connection was refused, then the wifi light turns off. It never turns back on when I try to connect to any URL...

This works for other people though, wonder what's different about my setup? It's as basic as it can be...

It wont seem to save my bookmarks, and how do you change the homepage on it? other than that, an incredible browser, way better than fried up browser!

AWESOME! :D I've been waiting on this for ages! Finally a good browser for the PSP! IMO, this is even better than the 2.0+ Browser!

I agree, I LOVE the keyboard system, its the first for PSP thats actualy easy to type on. I'd love it if they made an aim client that used that type of keyboard system, id use that all the time

Very happy to see this, although it's not connecting for me either - the pspradio plugin works for me,, it there a tip someone can offer? Perhaps the network select/connect preference should be included?

Man I can't get this dam browser to connect me to the internet. Which is strange because I could get the one that required PSP radio to log me onto the internet using this browser. Hmmm... I wonder what the problem is because this is a great browser ont he go if you don't feel like carrying a laptop around.

Just make your first connection auto and it should connect with no problem as long as you're not on an encrypted network. Mine was a little messed up at first, but I changed everything to automatica and it worked like a charm....fast, feature filled, and it didn't crash once in this run (as opposed to the in-radio version that crashed on almost any image-laden webpage I went to). I can't wait to see what is done with this in the future (flash support, web pages displayed exactly as they are on the computer), Raf is definitely one of the most important people in the homebrew scene right now.

Also have to give props to the typing system, it's great....fast, easy, and since the keyboard is on screen if I get mixed up halfway through a sentence it's easy to fix everything up unlike the systems with no on screen cues.

Great release, however I prefer the PSPRadio w/ Links2 version better. Music and surfing is a plus :)

Yup I had the same deal as accordian boy. But now when I run the app the wifi light doesnt come on at all (tried reinstalling the files too). Also the mouse doubles up alot of the time. Can anyone give us a hand. I've tried it with and without WEP, both just as useless at getting it to work.

so, erm, heeeeeeeeeeelp.
