If i use PSPSetX using a v1.5 psp could I change my version no to something like v4.0 to prevent my psp upgrading accidently? Because my v2.6 psp used to be a v2.5 until it was accidently upgraded by my cousin...Arrrr.

So ive bought a new motherboard with v1.5 installed on it.

So is it possible?

well you would use pspset
you see there is no "X" for the 1.0/1.5 version
yes if you change the version number to something higher then you cant update to a number less than that version. (it is the first very basic security)

why buy a 1.5 motherboard
if they exist than so do the 1.5 whole psps that such motherboards were taken out of
how much did you pay, you could have saved alot of trouble by just buying 1.5 or 2.0 psp

also if you had a 2.5 before what is the difference in having a 2.6
none

really seems like you have not thought this through

it only cost me 80Euro. While all the PSP's v1.5 i saw on ebay were 330euro. So it made more sense to keep this psp and change the motherboard. I will be another v1.5 PSP in the furure. When i have more money!
