im not sure if it would run for 1.5 or 2.0 users - but tis still a cool idea. I wouldnt really want to screw around with my psp but....... well ya

I was thinking if u took some of the files from the new firmwares (like 2.7 for flash)- you could put them in your system memory and persay get flash! its a pretty far out idea- ud just be remodeling your system firmware

still a cool idea even tho i dought it would work

then write a 1.5 firmware psp with the files needed to play games up to 2.7 ( and the web browser ), but omit any security files

Here's a thought, PSP emulator for PC running with complete thread logging (forget which OS does that though :( ), maybe running the upgrade for it will give us insight to the Sony encryption. Hell, even running a 1.0 game will give us insight to the 1.0 encryption, that's really all we need.

Just a thought, dunno how possible it is, just flexing my n00bness.

Writing random files to your flash is not a smart thing to do.

dont mean to sound funny, the best minds in the psp scene would have this done ....if it was doable, the guy before me is right, right random stuff to your psp flash, nice shiny brick!

Two different firmwares have files with the same name, but bits and pieces are changed from firmware to firmware, making the two files incompatible. You can try your own adventures by dumping a 1.5 and 2.5 firmware, then taking pieces from each one and put them in another, then load it up with mph firmware launcher.
