WHY do I need Pandora?

I had to play MGS: PW, So of course I upgraded to 6.00!

So now I'm just screwed? I've gotta buy a fricken battery to downgrade and play other stuff?

You have to anyways. The pandora battery puts the PSP into service mode which enables you to install any type of firmware. You also need to make a magic memory stick as well before you can install a custom firmware. Also, be aware that not all PSP slims will work, but as for the fat ones, they work without a hitch
