Hi All,

Here is a new version of PSPColem the Colecovision Emulator for PSP.

What's new in version 1.0.3 :

- Add Load/Save/Del states menu !
- Add .col as valid extention for rom files
- Bug Fix: emulator configuration is now properly loaded on startup.

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

This version should be the last one, only if major bugs are found ;)

Enjoy, :D

Zx.

Bug or feature? :-) when I change the PSP speed to 333 the coleco emu runs much faster also... shouldn´t it be always at 100 % of original coleco speed?

It's a feature. There no tick counter or speed limiter in the original code of Colem :).

Oh very good...:D

It's actually made me go and download all the roms of the ColecoVision games I own - just for this emu.

Next up: porting PS1 emulator!...:p

My 2nd bug report.

Ok EXCELLENT update man. nice release,

So the HOME key crashes my PSP, every time I try to exit the program like that.

and the D-PAD needs a little optimization. when I assign UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT to the d-pad, it doesnt exactly constantly depress the action, it just gives a single command. and the whole keyboard loading thing is a little confusing/ wierd.

otherwise a great update! keep up the good work ZX-81

JOY! This one works a treat, ZX-81. Thanks for your hard work on getting these emus to us...:D

It's so nice to play Venture on a portable system!

I still have an original Exidy "Winky" button I earned in college by getting 100,000 points on the Venture machine in our school lounge. Ahhh, 1982, a very good year for arcade games...LOL

Good grief, don't you ever sleep?? :D

Thank you for yet another excellent emu release. :)

What's next in your plans for world domination of the PSP emu scene? ;)

fMSX port :)

for coleco emu and for others with small roms is more convenient to implement a big zip support with multiple file in one big zip like in PSPvice (the sources you have looked on by my suggestion for porting VIC20 that previous are the number 1 in previous plan for next port :( )
A big zip for small roms is THE solution for emus on PSP.

fMSX sources are very closed to the ColEm sources ... so it won't take to much time to port :).

Anyway i won't port all existing emu on PSP lol .. I'm not the only coders, Fredjmh123 seems to be good for porting also :D

and the big zip solution?
this is a must form many small rom files, for space occupied on memstick and for transfer.

You can already use .zip files, so all files in one zip, or many zip files it's nearly the same ;)

Not really : memory sticks are divided in "clusters" so putting 10 zipped small file will use 10 clusters (can be 32Kb for big memory sticks), and using 1 zip file will only use 1 cluster, so 10 time less storage space.
So putting 1000 small roms with 1000 small screenshots files can use 64Mb of your memory stick (ok, no one will use 1000 roms :) )

How many coleco roms are there?

I only found about a hundred or so... and they take up a whopping 2 megs of space on my card... what are you guys talking about? zipping these files? why?

Right ... :) ... But Illegal Machine is more pragmatic lol !
