32 and 64 bit Dualshock 3 drivers for Windows XP, Vista and 7

Website MotionJoy (http://www.motioninjoy.com/) provides signed Dualshock 3 drivers for Windows XP, Vista and 7 which will work for both 32 and 64 bit systems. These drivers allow the following features of the controller to work such as:


Rumble function
USB connectivity
Bluetooth connectivity
The use of the trigger buttons
The use of both analogue sticks and buttons
Support for the use of the SixAxis Motion sensor
Support for use as a Windows Media Centre Remote
Support for emulation of Xbox 360 controllers with Xinput driver

Once installed, driver and button assignments can be changed using the DS3 tool.

To download and install the driver, get it at the website. Remember, make sure to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS carefully to ensure successful installation. Please make sure to obtain the right driver for your system. ie, 32 bit drivers will NOT work on 64 bit systems and vice versa.

i'm using this for a long time and i'm really satisfied :)
unfortunately i can't use it to play FIFA10, it doesn't recognise pad, either it's connected through usb, either bluetooth. but any other games i've played haven't got any issues

It deserve to be mentioned that the driver can simulate Xinput device as the original Xbox 360 controller
Work perfectly for Xinput windows game.

is anyone else having issues with this software? it works perfectly via USB, but neither of my two bluetooth adapters work wirelessly. The instructions for wireless conection are designed for the old system, and I'm wondering if I'm maybe doing something

Note: if you are running 64 bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7, driver signature enforcement must be disabled during boot up. Press F8 just after the BIOS startup on your computer.

how do you actually download from that site though? it leads to x-box 360 emulaters, there isnt hardly any reference wutsoever about ps3 or even sixaxis....:confused:

Hi there, just wondering how to get this to work in game?
I did all the tests through the software vibration axis and buttons and it worked fine. However when i load a game there is no recognition of it. I tried to reconfigure keyboard buttons to ps3 buttons for example "w" to "up" however it just doesnt seem to recognise it. any help would be much appriciated.

You know it! There isn't much going on in the ol' PS3 scene -- no hacks, no nothing worthy of mention really... But this -- this deserves a spot -- Windows device drivers for the PS3 Sixaxis / DualShock 3 controller. And you'll be happy to know the DualShock 3 Rumble feature is now supported. Do note: this doesn't work over Bluetooth -- only USB. Check it.

Many thousands of people found that guide to be helpful, but unfortunately 64-bit users were left in the dark. Furthermore, the driver only offered basic functionality, and many of the PS3 controller’s features were missing. This includes Bluetooth connectivity, SixAxis motion detection, and even the rumble feature of DualShock 3.
