Do you use GPS on your cell phones

My buddy at school told me the other day that I only need to install an off-board navigation software on my cell phone and add a Bluetooth GPS receiver, then my mobile can be used for GPS tracking and tracing, the software he named was called Nav4All, developed by an European company just recently, does anyone have more detailed information on this thing?

I have no info on it but I have seen people use GPS from their cell phones, I guess it is helpful if you need it, but in my opinion it is just another thing that your phone really does not have to do for you...my next phone all I want is one that does not have a camera (mine now doesnt, and I love it)
