Java apps?

Is it possible to run Java apps on PSP, they after all are meant to be platform independent. There are quite a lot of games written in java. OK, yes I am a noob.

We dont have a Java runtime for it yet.

Any chance we will anytime soon? Java is my best known language. I know nothing about C++ and am still learning Python, so atm I can't code much.

I haven't seen anyone working on one, so I assume its not any time soon.
