LLAMMA (http://www.llamma.com/) has finished an interesting LED mod for the psp consisting of placing LEDs in each trigger button and the center of the D-pad and face buttons. The LED’s are powered by the PSP’s battery and they turn off automatically when your PSP gets low on power.
This is an awesome hardware mod for the PSP. But your gonna need some decent soldering skills To solder The LEDs onto the circut board.

Tools Needed

*000 Phillips Screw Driver

*Low wattage (15-20) Quality Solder Iron or variable temperature Solder Station

*X-Acto or other blade for stripping/scratching off the insulation on the wire

*Small Tweezers

*5/64 Drill bit and drill

Supplies Needed

*30AWG Magnet Wire (enamel coated) (NOT 30AWG Kynar)

*0603 SMD LED’s

*10 Ohm Resistor for 4 blue

haha i think it looks cool, but if i were to do this i would definitly want a way to switch the LEDS on/off.

saw this a long time ago on his site.. n i love it :D is there by chance anyone who knows how to buy the buttons and faceplate? i live the netherlands..NL..i hope someone has an idea cuz i really wanna make this:D

Get the face plate on there and that would look hot. I'd like to do it to my PSP, but I don't feel like screwing up.

it has a faceplate on it it is jsut clear u idiot. i guess it looks ok but i dont like all of the lights, i hate the power and the wifi light on it already.

yall are funny.

i like the led's.

but i dont think i would have done the shoulder buttons. The faceplate has to happen while your at it too, so the clear one is the way to go, the LED's spread nice throughout it. Scary though. soldering and unsrcrewing what is already being undone by my everyday useage. I held a brand new PSP and it felt so solid compared to mine, I know im putting in work on it. Scary to undo it even more..

Is there only one of this mod or does anyone else have one done? Post the pic...
