Say I told you I have a commercial with Quentin Tarantino (http://gizmodo.com/tag/quentintarantino/) selling Softbank cellphones as Uncle Tara-chan while a talking dog opines and a woman answers a dog phone. Would you believe me? This is Japan. Of course you would.
With these two ads, Tarantino joins a long line of U.S. celebrities who have flown across the Pacific to do zany Japanese commercials. If you'll recall, Brad Pitt did a few Softbank spots (http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmblog/2009/nov/11/quentin-tarantino-japanese-advert) not too long ago too. This one though, by far, is the most bat shit insane of them all. [CNET (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-10410114-71.html)]
