This emu is getting better and better, mariokart runs fullspeed with fs 1 no sound and runs very well on fs 0. Super Mario 64 runs fullspeed with fs 0 no sound.

Keep it going!!

Keep it going!!

Absolutely, but I'm still wondering whether a 93.75 MHz console can ever be emulated satisfyingly (incl. sound & decent fps) with the PSP's 333 MHz processor. Any qualified opinions on that from experienced programmers?

I have pretty limited programming skills but can tell you they already squeezed most of the performance out of Psp, there's probably only a few fps more from most games so got choice between fast and glitchy or slow and accurate, but Zack said he's gonna try to get some more speed from it.

apparently Kreationz, one of the main devs, is recoding the entire thing for Beta 3. Supposed to have a HUGE speed boost

i recall corn, an n64 emulator for pc way back in '99 or '00 , it was only capable of running mario 64 and mario kart and maybe a couple others and it was fullspeed, with sound if i recall well on pentium II 266mhz and 300 mhz with vodoo 2 or 3.

Sure one can't compare pentium architecture with psp's, it's completely different but have in mind the it had win'98 and services and other stuff running in the background and psp is a dedicated game device and has more specialized graph capabilities ( i guess ???).

Anyway i guess corn had a lot of asm in it's code, i don't know how daedalus is coded if it's pure C / C++ but the faster you can get is trying to make most of the code in mips-assembler wich is not an easy task.

Corn, I remember that emulator, was very fast as I recall, now that is going back some years :)

Just rename the extracted folder to something shorter like daedalus446 , there seems to be a problem with long named dirs.
