View Full Version : Fw 2.6 Gta + Eboot And Snes Emu

I have GTA LCS FW 2.6 and ive tryed the top 3 SNES emulators and i cant seem to get EBoot to load up. Ive heard rumors that the newer GTA's Have been patched so that you cant load outside files such as Eloader . Does anyone know if this is true and if so does anyone know when this patching was done so i can return my copy of GTA and get a used one in hopes that it may be older then the patching

was it really last week or are u just making up a date so i can run to my local video game store and exchange my brand spanking new gta for an old one and have it still not work ?!?!?!?!?

The first news of the GTA loader being patched was on 15 June. Some say it's just a rumor here's the link if u wanna look at it

I confirmed the date by checking the posts of other forums. QJ.Net being the earliest of 14 june and psphacks.net the same day as this forum... 15 june

If u don't trust anyone just do a search on google yourself

well i watched the video and i read the comments. Basically my fanjita eboot loads but afterwards my psp freezes and reboots. it shows no games or anything so perhaps my version isnt patched but does anyone have any advice as to what i should after this point.
BTW i just got the GTA yesterday the 19th so if it is true thats my problem but whats happening to me isnt whats happening in the video. Its different so maybe i just installed it wrong lets cross fingers for me

hmmm...wad version of the eloader are u using?
if it's the 0.97 version(bock) try using the 0.95 version instead. I remember seeing it somewhere before that some PSP fw2.6 users had trouble using it but it works fine for me...so u may wanna try using the 0.95 if u're using the 0.97 version or vice versa

btw, some of the homebrew apps don't work with the eloader...i had a couple of snes emus that crashed my psp whenever i selected to load them...

thank you sir i will try using .95 and if u know off hand which emus dont work well with 2.6

nice it worked thanks bro just 1 more question what Roms work with SNES9xTYL v.3
I seemed to have gotten it to load its just now when i try to play a game its just a black screen and when i try to quit game it freezes my psp SO :( but im making progress

Use SnesPSP_TYL-0.4.2 standard version and it will work. I had same problem as you.
