http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/9/2009/12/thumb160x_image257.jpg Square Enix (http://kotaku.com/tag/squareenix/) is the latest company to launch its own virtual monetary denomination, the Square Enix Crysta.
One Crysta is the equivalent to one Japanese yen, and with the yen stronger than the U.S. dollar, that means the Square Enix Crysta is more valuable than Uncle Sam's greenbacks.
The Crysta can be purchased in six amounts: 500 yen, 1,000 yen, 2,000 yen, 3,000 yen, 5,000 yen, and 10,000 yen. It can be used in online community games, Square Enix's MMO Fantasy Earth Zero and the Square Enix e-Store. Currently, the Crysta is Japan only.
